Getting a Visa for Luxembourg

For international attendees of the iSpaRo 2024 conference in Luxembourg, understanding the visa requirements for entry into the Grand Duchy is crucial. Luxembourg offers entry facilities for citizens of numerous countries, as well as straightforward procedures for those who need to apply for a visa.

EU and EEA Citizens

Citizens of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) do not need a visa to enter, work, or live in Luxembourg. They only need a valid identity card or passport.

Countries Requiring a Visa

However, nationals of certain non-EU, non-EEA countries who wish to visit, transit through or work in Luxembourg must, before their departure:

  1. Check if they require a visa to enter Luxembourg following this link: https://maee.gouvernement.lu/dam-assets/services-aux-citoyens/visa-et-immigration/list-of-countries-whose-citizens-require-a-visa.pdf

  2. If you are required to have a visa, you must have a valid travel document with a visa issued by a consular authority from one of the countries in the Schengen area.
